Chapter 1 Blood Ties Walkthrough — Resonance
Blood Ties walkthrough: nunnery opening, Ezra, Faro’s cabin, the Rusty Sword, and the Handled Cross artefact.
What this chapter is
Blood Ties is the tutorial and the origin cut. Young Sophia flees a nunnery, then the campaign jumps to the adult expedition. You cannot miss the Rusty Sword — it is handed to you during the combat lessons. There is no New Game+, so this is also where you pick Narrative versus Nightmare and decide whether Invincible Mode stays off for the real fight later.
After the village scramble, you wake in Faro’s cabin. Interact with the room if you want flavour, then get back in bed to start the adult combat drills. The first artefact sits on a corpse next to a dead tree while you check bodies in the wrecked camp: the Handled Cross. Climb the ladder, drop the ledge, open the white door, survive the ambush, then beat the mercenary and the friends who pile in.

Route
Village: push through the crowd, strike Ezra until the chase starts, take the right window at the dead end, crawl the wall gap after he catches you. Cabin: optional inspect, then bed. Combat: finish every prompt; the game is teaching yellow parries and the kick. Do not skip the corpse sweep or you will be back in Chapter Select for a single relic.
When the mercenary pack is down, the chapter trophy Blood ties pops. Continue to Chapter 2: Felons.

No. It is a story unlock in Chapter I.
Is the Handled Cross missable forever?
No. Relics still count through Chapter Select. Resonance Points in this chapter do not.
Should I turn on Invincible Mode already?
Only if you want a story cruise. Combat trophies later prefer Nightmare plus invincibility, not this tutorial.
