How the sphere actually upgrades across the campaign, including the Chapter X laser.
Upgrades are story-gated
Toggle with D-pad up / Tab. Early: single beam into receptors and mirrors. Mid: three coloured lashes you rotate onto matching gems — often under vases you have to break. Chapter X: Light Concentrate, a hold-to-fire laser for growths and the worm.
You are exposed while aiming. The sphere does not run out of battery. Theseus sequences show the same architecture intact, which is why some doors only make sense after a rift. Story link: dual timeline.
