Resonance Tips After Launch — Parry, Points, and Pitfalls
Practical launch tips for Resonance: skill order, missable points, grapnel, Light Concentrate, and trophy farms worth doing on the first run.
First three hours
Tap parry on yellow, hold to block chip, dodge red. Aegean Deflect’s red-parry mastery is the single best purchase in the tree; Hero’s Step’s extra dodge is second. Do not dump early points into Fated Cast. Focus is free in Chapter IV — you cannot buy it.
White glints are Resonance Points. They save at the next checkpoint, not when you touch them. Die first and you pick them up again. Chapter Select is not a point bank. Track the running total in Artefacts, bottom left.
Habits that save a second run
Open every small chest. Interact with every Axe chalice (five Theseus Echoes). After overhead spikes or cloth trails, look right — Kopis, Xiphos, and half the relics sit one room off the objective marker. Kick people into spikes and off ledges while you are in Chapter V; Overboard is annoying to remember later.
On PC Game Pass, expect shader hitching the Steam build does not have. Turn off frame generation, cap or uncap frames depending on what calms frametime, and file a ticket with Focus. Full note: stuttering guide. More beginner framing: beginner guide.
